Fraser scarves are made in the Shetland Isles, the home of Fair Isle knitting. This far-flung group of islands to the distant north of the Scottish mainland has long been a stopping-off point for seafarers on the Baltic and Scandinavian trading routes, and over the centuries has absorbed influences from many cultures. These rich and diverse sources are reflected in the motifs and pattern structures of Fair Isle knitting.

We specialise in luxury scarves featuring classic Fair Isle patterns.  A hallmark of our style is an understated approach to the traditional colours and patterns, which we bring together in harmonious compositions that are equally at home in country and city.

Our scarves are knitted on a fine gauge machine at a high quality local production unit. They are hand finished and hand washed in soft Shetland water for a luxury finish, bringing out the natural softness of the wool.

Quality is a theme that runs through all our processes, from sourcing of the highest quality yarns, through all aspects of the design process, through meticulous inspection at all stages of production and finishing, to our commitment to hand washing and the special care we take in presentation, packaging and shipping.  In this way you can be sure that your Fraser scarf will be of the highest possible quality.
